Where it all began
Since the company was founded in 1986, Headon has grown into a well-respected property developer known for delivering high-quality, bespoke developments. The past 40 years have been a journey of hardwork, experience and close collaboration with trusted partners who share our vision and values.

THE STORY SO FAR
1986
Brothers Joe & Pat establish Headon Developments.
1992
Construction begins on Headon’s HQ. You can still find us at 35 Largo Road, St Andrews today.
1995
Homing in on the stylish steading. One of Headon’s first projects in St Andrews was transforming dilapidated farmsteadings into attractive country dwellings.
1996
Headon expands to Edinburgh. Developing a popular 21-apartment project in Portobello, Edinburgh.
2002
Headon, University of St Andrews and other local landowners come together for initial talks about a new community in St Andrews. This would later be know as St Andrews West.
2004
Strathcarron, one of Headon’s largest developments comprising of 2, 3, 4, and 5 bedroom homes and 2, 3 bedroom apartments.
2013
The Green, Strathkinness wins Best Development (small) at Homes for Scotland annual awards.
2018
Headon celebrate 30 years in Business. Bringing together trusted partners and suppliers for an evening of celebrations.
2022
First spade in the ground at St Andrews West.
